New York Lottery Recognized Educators of the Week (NYC/Metropolitan)

Schenectady – The New York Lottery and Univison 41 recently recognized thirty-one educators from the New York City area at a ceremony held at CIBO for the positive impact they’ve had on their students and the field of education. The educators were individually recognized weekly during the 2004-2005 school year as part of the Lottery’s annual Educator of the Week program, which is aired locally on Univision 41.

“The Educator of the Week program is an opportunity to publicize the outstanding commitment and dedication of our State’s exceptional educators. Too often their hard work is taken for granted,” said Lottery Director Nancy A. Palumbo. “It’s an honor to recognize these individuals who mold our students of today to become the leaders of tomorrow.”

The New York Lottery joins ten television stations weekly around the state to raise awareness of the impact educators have in our community through their efforts in the classroom. Univision 41 aired special segments featuring outstanding educators throughout the New York City area during this school year. The list of locally honored educators includes:
