Nassau County Painter Claims $50,000 Instant Lottery Prize

October 27, 2008-SCHENECTADY, NY- Jose Gomez of Mineola, Nassau County, won $50,000 playing the New York Lottery’s WIN $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE Instant game.

Gomez, a painter, said, “I was shocked to see that I was a winner”.

He plans to pay bills and invest the rest. Gomez purchased his ticket at Lopez Deli, 216 Willis Ave., Mineola.

The WIN $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE game is a $30 instant game that offers players up to 15 chances to win a top prize of $1,000,000 a year for life. The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 3,528,000. Overall odds are 1 in 2.93.
