Pick 10 Odds and Prizes
Pick 10 is a fun way to win prizes of up to $500,000. It even offers a payout for matching no numbers at all! Find out about the six different prize categories, how much you get for each one, and the odds of winning.
In Pick 10 draws, there are actually 20 numbers drawn in each game rather than just 10. You win prizes based on how many of your 10 chosen numbers appear in the draw. Unlike some lotteries such as Win 4, the order of the drawn numbers never matters.
You will receive $4 if you fail to match a single number, and other prizes are awarded for matching six or more.
All the prizes are fixed amounts, so if you match 10 numbers to win the jackpot you will receive $500,000, even if there are multiple winners. The only exception is when there are more than 10 jackpot-winning tickets in the same draw. In this scenario, a prize pot of $5 million will be shared equally between all the winners. If the jackpot is not won in any given draw it does not roll over to the following one.

How to Claim
You can visit any licensed lottery retailer to claim prizes up to and including $600. If you win a larger amount, you will need to visit one of the New York Lottery’s Customer Service Centers. You can also claim prizes by mailing your winning ticket to the New York Lottery at PO Box 7533, Schenectady, NY 12301-7533. You will need to include a completed claim form when claiming prizes worth $601 or more.
All Pick 10 prizes are awarded as single payments. There is no annuity option, even for jackpot winners. Federal and state taxes apply to all prizes over $5,000, and residents of New York City and Yonkers also have to pay a local tax on winnings.
