Pick 10
Pick 10 is a daily lottery that offers prizes of up to $500,000. Twenty winning numbers are drawn in each game, but you only have to match ten of them to win the jackpot. You even receive a prize if you don’t match any numbers at all!

How to Play Pick 10
Play Pick 10 by selecting ten numbers between 1 and 80. You can either choose your own or ask for a Quick Pick to have them randomly generated. It costs $1 per game and you have to be at least 18 years of age to enter.
You can also play the same numbers for up to a week in advance by marking on your playslip the number of consecutive days you would like to play. If you have bought a Pick 10 ticket within the last 30 days, you can take it to a retailer and ask for an identical entry for the next drawing.

Prizes and Odds of Winning
Twenty winning numbers are drawn in each game and you win prizes based on how many of your 10 chosen numbers you match. You will receive $4 if you fail to match a single number, and other prizes are awarded for matching six or more.
All the prizes are fixed amounts, so if you match ten numbers to win the jackpot you will receive $500,000, even if there are multiple winners. The only exception is when there are more than 10 jackpot-winning tickets in the same draw. In this scenario, a prize pot of $5 million will be shared equally between all the winners. If the jackpot is not won in any given draw it does not roll over to the following one.

Claiming Prizes
You can visit any licensed lottery retailer to claim prizes up to and including $600. If you win a larger amount, you will need to visit one of the New York Lottery’s Customer Service Centers. You can also claim prizes by mailing your winning ticket to the New York Lottery at PO Box 7533, Schenectady, NY 12301-7533. You will need to include a completed claim form when claiming prizes worth $601 or more.
Federal and state taxes apply to all prizes over $5,000, and residents of New York City and Yonkers also have to pay a local tax on winnings. Speak to a financial advisor for more information about your personal tax situation.
