How to Play Cash4Life NY

Cash4Life is easy and can be a lot of fun. The goal? Pick five numbers between 1 and 60 – and one Cash Ball between 1 and 4 – and win by matching two or more numbers. The top prize of $1,000 a day for life is won by matching all five main numbers plus the Cash Ball.

Cash4Life is a dual matrix game, so the five main numbers and the Cash Ball are drawn from two separate pools. This means that you could see the same number appear as one of the main numbers and the Cash Ball in the same draw.

Draws take place every day at roughly 9:00 PM ET. Cash4Life costs $2 per game, and ticket sales close at 8:45 PM ET each day.

Here’s how to get your tickets and play:

    Head to a New York Lottery retailer: There are around 15,000 lottery agents in the Empire State, so you can head straight to your nearest one.

    Fill in a Playslip: Most stores – whether it’s a gas station, newsstand, or grocery store – will allow you to self-serve playslips. The playslips may also be kept behind the counter, so ask the retailer and they will get one for you.

    Pick Your Numbers: Use black or blue pen or pencil to select five main numbers and one Cash Ball. Red or other ink could result in your ticket being rejected. Ask the retailer for a Quick Pick if you’d rather leave it to chance.

    Hand in your Playslip: Pay for your ticket at the retailer and you’re done.

    See if You’ve Won: Enjoy the draw and find out if your numbers have matched. You can check our results page to keep track of the latest winning numbers.

Play It Again

If you bought a Cash4Life ticket in the last 30 days, you can ask your retailer to play it again and you will receive an identical entry for the next drawing.

How to Win Cash4Life Prizes

To win at Cash4Life, you need to match two or more of your chosen numbers with the numbers revealed in the draw by the NY Lottery.
