How to play Win 4

You can play Win 4 at any New York Lottery retailer, or even order your tickets online through a courier service for added convenience. Follow the steps below to complete a playslip – or order online – then you can just wait for the next draw to find out if you are a winner.

Draws come thick and fast in Win 4 - in fact, there are two every day. There’s a Midday drawing at 2:30 PM ET, followed by an Evening draw at 10:30 PM ET. The cut-off times for ticket sales are 2:15 PM ET and 10:20 PM ET.

    Go to any official New York Lottery retailer. It might be a 7-Eleven, gas station or even a newsstand. There are around 15,000 sales agents to choose from!

    If you’re new to the game or just not sure which numbers to play, speak to the retail clerk and ask for a Quick Pick. The computer will randomly generate a four-digit combination for you to play.

    Grab a playslip if you’re keen to make your own selections. You’ll need to use a black or blue pen, or a pencil. Start by selecting your four numbers, one from each row. Each row shows the digits 0 to 9 and you may choose the same number as many times as you wish.

    Select a wager type – Straight, Box, Straight/Box, Combination or Pairs. More details can be found in the Wager Types section.

    Decide how much to wager. Win 4 is not like most lotteries with one fixed price – instead, you can choose whether to spend $0.50 or $1 per play. The more you put down, the more you can win.

    Pick which draw you want to play - Midday, Evening, or both. You can play your numbers for up to seven consecutive days.

    Once you’re happy with your selections, insert your playslip into the NYL vending machine or hand it over to the retailer. Pay the required amount and you’ll receive a ticket. Make sure to keep it safe until the draw’s taken place and you’ve checked the winning numbers.

Extra Features

The ‘Play It Again’ option allows you to hand in an old Win 4 ticket, provided it is from within the last 30 days, and you will be given an identical entry for the next drawing. You can also play the Instant Win game alongside Win 4 for an additional $1. This fun game gives you the chance to win prizes of up to $500 at the point of purchase, without even having to wait for the draw.
