Up the odds by adding Instant Win to your ticket. Available as an add-on alongside several New York lotteries, players can pay just another $1 to tickets and potentially win an instant cash prize if any of your numbers in the draw match an Instant Win number printed on your ticket.

How to Add Instant Win
You can add the Instant Win feature to your tickets at any authorized New York Lottery retailer or online.
At a Retailer
- Visit a New York Lottery retailer: This can be a gas station, 7-Eleven, supermarket, or newsstand. There are 15,000 vendors across the Empire State, so take your pick.
- Play A Game With the Instant Win Feature: If you're playing Numbers, Win 4 or Take 5, you can mark the Instant Win option on your playslip or inform the retailer that you'd like to add Instant Win to your draw game selection and they will do it for you.
- Check the Instant Win Number: A series of Instant Win numbers will be printed on your ticket, together with a random prize amount. If any of your selected numbers match any of the Instant Win numbers shown on your ticket, you instantly win the prize shown.
- Claim Your Prize: Instant Win prizes can be claimed at authorized retailers or through the New York Lottery's official channels.
Add Instant Win Online
- Log in to your New York Lottery account.
- Select your game, whether it's Numbers, Win 4, or Take 5.
- Choose Instant Win option: This is usually an extra $1 per play.
- Complete your purchase. The ticket will show your Instant Win numbers digitally.
- Check instantly if you've won. Prizes will be credited directly to your account.
